About Us
We believe in creating a biodiverse, ecologically sound farm based on organic and permaculture principles.
little to no tilling. Creating a biologically active soil that sequesters carbon. We want to teach others how real, high quality food tastes, to understand the value of small farming, and to see that large agriculture is no longer the way to feed ourselves, our families, and our communities.
We believe in growing farm-fresh food for our community that is as rich in nutrients as it is in history.

Practices
We grow strictly heirloom & open pollinated fruits, herbs & vegetables the way nature intended, without chemical pesticides and artificial fertilizers.
no GMO's. no hybrids. ever. Varieties are chosen for flavor, not mass production.
We raise only heritage breed animals, helping to secure historic breeds stability and maintain genetic diversity.
Belted Galloway & White British cattle and our Leicester Longwool sheep are humanely raised, and free to graze throughout the pastures during the summer and are never given un-necessary antibiotics or vaccines.
The pigs help us clear pasture and clean up forest lines, the Mangalitsa and Ossabaw pig breeds are some of the most tender and delicious pork you can buy.
VT grown, certified organic hay is given during the winter months.
Our heritage laying hens & meat birds roam pastures throughout the summer and are supplemented with corn free , non-gmo feeds.
